However, basically it is not possible to obtain the true Ultra Instinct state. The latter can in fact only be achieved with the character Goku (Ultra Instinct), linked to a special DLC payable.
In any case, if you have the PC version of the game, you can get Ultra Instinct status by using a mod created by the community. In case you are interested, however, I invite you to use the latter just for offline fun and remove it when you want to go online.
In fact, the game rightly uses a anti-cheat system, which does not allow users to go online with mods enabled. I also take no responsibility for any problems with your account after using community-created content, as developers could potentially take action.
In short, think carefully before using the mods. If you want some advice, from my point of view it's not worth taking advantage of community-created content for Ultra Instinct, as these mods are of lower quality than what the base game offers.
Moreover, even if used offline, these contents are always controversial, as they are installing, albeit without bad intentions, features not included in the base game.
The discussion around the world of mods has been active for many years, between those who argue that there is no problem as long as, as in this case, they are used offline only for fun and those who say to avoid them.
It is also not clear what the developers think about it, but I can imagine that they do not recommend the use of this content made by the community. In any case, the world of mods created with passion by fans of the game is certainly interesting to explore and therefore worth treating.
Obviously, I do not recommend using mods on Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. The information contained in this post is therefore to be considered a purely for information and I do not take any responsibility for their possible uses.
In any case, if you want to be sure not to run into problems, the advice is to follow the first part of the guide, in which you simply play the title of Bandai Namco to get the techniques of Ultra Instinct and Goku (Ultra Instinct) without mod.
How to unlock Ultra Instinct in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
After explaining the general situation to you, I would say that it is time to take action and unlock Ultra Instinct within the game. Below you will find all the relevant information.
How to unlock Goku Ultra Instinct in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (DLC)
Let's start with the official solution that allows you to get Goku (Ultra Instinct) within the game without going through "tricks" or mod.
This is the purchase of the additional content (DLC) called Extra DLC Pack 2. The latter usually costs 9,99 € and also includes the character Goku (Ultra Instinct).
You can purchase and download the DLC from them major digital stores: PlayStation Store on PS4 / PS5, Microsoft Store on Xbox consoles, Nintendo eShop on Switch and Steam on PC. In any case, having this character is the only way to have the real Ultra Instinct state within Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. For more details on the DLC, you can refer to the official Bandai Namco website.
How to unlock Ultra Instinct on Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 without mod
If you are not going to buy the official DLC for the moment, in this part of the guide I will show you how to get the skills related to Ultra Instinct for your Thunderstorm patrol. More precisely, I am referring to Divine Kamehameha, Sublime punch e Divine vision.
These techniques can be unlocked by your Time Patrol even if you only have the base game without DLC. In fact, it is enough to buy them from PT medal shop, which is located in the main area of the game (“lobby”).
The latter unlocks shortly after completing the prologue, so you can potentially purchase skills related to Ultra Instinct even if you're just starting out. However, you will need some PT medals, which can be obtained simply by playing the Bandai Namco title.
In fact, the latter are obtained as reward, for example by choosing the option I want medals by the dragon Shenron or simply by completing the various missions proposed by the game.
In any case, it may take some time to reach the required PT medals for the skills, since Divine Kamehameha the 300 PT medals, Divine vision the 500 PT medals e Sublime punch the 300 PT medals. In short, in total you need 1.100 PT medals.
But be careful: as you well know if you have been playing Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for a while, the PT Medal Shop is not always open. This means that you may not find the skills I have listed for sale.
In that case, you might therefore consider putting a "trick" in place. However, I do not take any responsibility for possible problems with your account, as you are gaining skills designed only for certain promotional periods.
In any case, the "trick" is the disconnect your computer or console from the Internet, so that the game does not connect to servers, set the system date to 10 September 2020 and go to the PT medal shop.
By doing so, you should be able to easily acquire the skills of your interest. Once done, that's enough for you save the game, return to the current date and play as before. Many players claim that they managed to get the skills without any problems this way and I can confirm to you that setting the date of September 10, 2020 actually makes the skills available.
In any case, by purchasing the aforementioned techniques from the PT Medal Shop you will be able to obtain the main skills of Ultra Instinct. As for the Ultra Instinct state, however, unfortunately not much can be done without DLC or mods.
Mod to unlock Ultra Instinct on Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
If you are among those who usually play Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on PC, you might think about using a specific mod to achieve it Ultra Instinct state.
I have already pointed out in the preliminary chapter that this could potentially lead to problems, so before moving on, I invite you to inform you well on the matter and think about it.
If you have decided to proceed, the mod to download is called Goku (Ultra Instinct) (Pride Trooper) and is made by user Pride Troopers. The latter, in simple terms, adds the character Goku (Ultra Instinct) to the game recreated by the community.
To start downloading the mod, just connect to the XenoverseMod website and click on the orange button first DOWNLOAD which is on the right and then on the blue one DOWNLOAD. You may need to close some advertisements. Either way, doing so will result in a file named Goku (Ultra Instinct).zip.
At this point, you need the program XV2 Mods Installer, designed to install the mod. To download it, just connect to the AnimeGameMods portal, click on the link here and click on the button Download. By doing so, you will get the XV2INS.zip.
Then, connect to this other page of the AnimeGameMods site and click on the link here present near the writing xv2patcher: this is another tool needed to use mods. Then press the button Download and wait to get the file xv2patcher_ [version] .zip.
Now you just need to extract the ZIP file linked to xv2patcher in any folder e move / copy the bin and XV2PATCHER folders in the one where the game (typically the path is steamapps / common / DB Xenoverse 2 / bin).
Subsequently, extract the ZIP file XV2INS you downloaded earlier, launch the file xv2ins.exe, award-winning KATEGORIEN (three dots icon), select the file DBXV2.exe (usually the path is steamapps / common / DB Xenoverse 2 / bin) and click the button OK.
In this way, the program window to install the mods will appear on the screen. Extract, therefore, in any folder the file ZIP Goku (Ultra Instinct) you downloaded earlier and press the button + present at the top left. Now, select the file Goku (Ultra Instinct) (No Z-Soul Ver).x2m and press pulsating Install all of them in a new slot.
Wait, therefore, for the tool to install the mod and press the button OK. If everything has been done correctly, you will notice the appearance of a line called Goku (Ultra Instinct). Perfect, now it's time to have fun.
At this point, to actually be able to use the mod, it is necessary to play offline. If you don't know how to disconnect your computer from the Internet connection, I recommend that you follow my guide on how to disconnect the device from Wi-Fi (or just remove the Ethernet cable, if you are connected by cable).
Once the computer is disconnected, go to steamapps / common / DB Xenoverse 2 / bin and start the file DBXV2.exe. If everything has been done correctly, messages will appear on the screen indicating that you are offline and therefore cannot access certain features.
Once you're in the game, just go to the area Offline parallel missions and choose to start one.
This will take you to the character selection. Going to the far right you will find Goku (Ultra Instinct), added by mod. Just select the latter to use it and put it to the test.
I advise you to don't even finish the mission, as you would increase your stats with a character added by a mod. You can however have fun with his moves, even just to see what the fans have created, for then exit the mission.
In any case, this Goku (Ultra Instinct) is obviously a character created by the community. This means that it has nothing to do with the one present in the DLC. In any case, it could be a fun content to have a laugh in an afternoon with friends.
For the rest, if you want to go back to playing online and start Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 properly, you can uninstall the mod starting the file xv2ins.exe, Selecting all and pressing the icon X. This way, you will uninstall all the extra items you added for fun.
After that, once you have connected your device to the Internet again, it is good to go to the game folder and remove the folders bin e XV2PATCHER.
After that, you can start Steam, select with the right mouse button Dragonball Xenoverse 2 from the library, click on the entry Property, move to the tab LOCAL FILES of the window that opens and press the button Verify integrity of game files.
By doing so, everything will be fixed and you can return to playing Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 safely online.
